Nick Gill keeps it simple and charming on latest release “The Sum Of It ”

Nick Gill’s “The Sum Of It ” is a brief, good natured song, a product of spontaneity. We recorded it in about three hours, and the track has that charm of an idea caught when it was still fresh. Jordy Searcy’s lead guitar provides a welcome lift, and Adam Grover’s mastering gives the finished recording a polished final frame without sanding down its easygoing spirit. Nick Gill doesn’t try to make the song feel bigger than it needs to be. ''The Sum Of It,'' though, is successful because it's relaxed, immediate, and simply fun.
