Orphan Prodigy unleashes a new single "Deep Bass"

Brooklyn-based electronic-rock duo Orphan Prodigy, the powerhouse partnership of Ian Keller and Danielle Hope, unleashes one of their most emotionally charged releases yet with “Deep Bass.” Featuring longtime friend and rapper Jeff Wise, the track dives fearlessly into nostalgia, unresolved desire, and the unshakable ghost of first love.

Built on only two chords, “Deep Bass” proves that simplicity doesn’t mean softness. In fact, the limited harmonic palette gives the song a hypnotic gravity. More than 20 instruments fade in, swell, collide, and settle, making a soundscape that is as immersive as a memory you can't escape. Ian's melodic lines go straight to the heart of the matter, balancing vulnerability with toughness. Jeff Wise's verses, on the other hand, serve as the story's backbone, making the emotion feel real and lived-in.

Ian’s voice is raw in all the right ways, just pure human feeling delivered with intention. Danielle’s presence, even when subtle, provides the song its emotional halo. Her harmonies and sonic accents expand the track’s emotional palette, offering contrast to the weight of the bass and the tension of the lyrics.

The accompanying music video, starring dancer Genna Durante, reinforces the emotional turbulence, adding visual poetry to the song’s aching core. As they prepare for their debut album, Medication For A Modern World, Orphan Prodigy has created a pivotal moment that highlights their chemistry, storytelling, and defiance of genre conventions. “Deep Bass” lingers long after the last note.
