Big O Announces New Concept Album "Water to Wine" with Cashus King

Big O frames the project as a meditation on renewal, revival, and rebirth, using transformation as both metaphor and structure. Drawing inspiration from the biblical account in the Book of John, where water is miraculously turned into wine at the wedding in Cana, the album positions itself within a continuum of change, where the ordinary is refined into the extraordinary through time, pressure, and belief. “Water represents the beginning,” Big O explains through the album’s concept. It is the raw, unshaped essence of life, essential, universal, and foundational. Wine, however, becomes the outcome of evolution: something matured, refined, and elevated through experience. That duality forms the backbone of the entire project.

This project brings together a strong lineup of collaborators who reinforce its introspective and lyrical weight. Guest appearances include Blu, Fashawn, L.O.U., P-Rawb, Big Tone, G-HOLY, Frannie EL, and Shari. Each artist contributes to the album’s broader narrative of growth and transformation, adding unique perspectives that expand its emotional and sonic palette. Production and technical craftsmanship also play a central role in shaping the project’s identity.

Argiris “Argy W” Psylomesis handles the mixing and mastering duties, ensuring a polished yet atmospheric soundscape that complements the album’s reflective tone. From a conceptual standpoint, the album also taps into a broader cultural conversation about reinvention. In both music and life, the idea of becoming something “more” than your starting point resonates deeply. Big O uses that idea as a lens, exploring what it means to move from uncertainty into clarity, from simplicity into complexity, and from survival into purpose.

As anticipation builds toward its June 5 release, Water to Wine positions itself as more than just a new entry in Big O’s discography. It presents itself as a statement piece, one that blends lyrical storytelling, spiritual symbolism, and collaborative artistry into a unified vision of transformation.
