Armitage emerges from the daily grind with their new single, “Victory Or Defeat,” a powerful track that embodies the grit and energy of a band forged from genuine connections and raw musicianship. What started as jam sessions between coworkers Jason Walker (drums) and Dan Turnquist (guitar) became more serious when bassist Mark Holderfield joined. With Turnquist bringing a solid set of original songs, the group strengthened their chemistry before inviting longtime friend Jesse Condra to complete the lineup as the vocalist.
The result is “Victory Or Defeat”, a riff-heavy, emotionally charged anthem that combines punchy percussion, driving bass, and expressive guitar work with Condra’s soaring vocals. The track brims with urgency, balancing technical skill with the kind of unrefined passion that only a band still finding its collective voice can produce.
