Jorge Natalin unveils a musical journey into the unknown on “Initiation Song”

Jorge Natalin, an Amsterdam-based musician, returns with a new track, "Initiation Song." The artistic persona of Arno Tijnagel transports listeners into a wild new musical universe. With a reputation for defying genre conventions, Natalin creates a sound that weaves together the warmth of an intimate singer-songwriter, expansive post-rock arrangements, and subtle electronic moments.

"Initiation Song" is yet another daring step in Natalin's solo career. Using the guitar as his main instrument, he constructs layer upon layer of song that is both intimate and cinematic. The track demonstrates his talent for taking listeners places, a skill he has perfected not only in front of audiences but also behind the scenes, writing original motion picture soundtracks for movies like Sunset from a Rooftop and Finnemans.

I wanted this piece to feel like a doorway, Natalin says. A moment that welcomes you into something new, something that I haven't told you about from me before. The result is a song that undulates with soft intimacy yet erupts into broad, nearly orchestral crescendos, echoing the expanse of his musical identity.

Though he has worked with numerous artists over the years, Natalin is devoting his time to solo work so he can follow his vision to its fullest. "Initiation Song" is an invitation and a statement in the same breath, a declaration of creative freedom, it's an articulation of different pathways that will come to characterize her music, showing she is anywhere when it comes to sound.
