Mary Milton Carries Grief in Grace on “On My Shoulder”

Mary Milton first won people over when she was a semi-finalist on The Voice France, where she was mentored by Amel Bent. With her deeply personal single "On My Shoulder," she now steps into her own light, open, brave, and very human.

"On My Shoulder," which she wrote in honor of her late father, feels more like a sacred conversation than a song. The organic arrangement, made even more beautiful by the Prague Symphony Orchestra's stunning presence, wraps around her voice like memory itself from the first note.

Mary lets the silence between phrases breathe, and in those quiet moments, you can feel the weight of goodbyes that are like a play. Honest, but not forced. The fact that this release is for everyone makes it special. The song is based on the singer's own grief, but it also gently reaches out to comfort anyone who is going through loss. "On My Shoulder" is more than just a tribute; it's the start of an artist's identity based on honesty, openness, and real connection.
