Esoterica strip back the noise with "Paper Skull (Live)"

Esoterica's new single, "Paper Skull (Live)," showcases the raw, personal side of one of their most emotional songs. The band is known for combining heavy, progressive, and melodic parts to create something big, but here they do something different, they invite us into their world rather than overwhelming us with size. The result feels immediate, individual, and quietly powerful.

This version of "Paper Skull(Live)" was recorded live at Bush Hall in London, and it sounds like a movie with less sound. The full-band sound has big guitars and a strong beat, but these are put aside to make room for mood and quiet. Instead, we can hear the weight of each note, the space between phrases, and the subtle textures that we might not hear otherwise.
