Eylsia channels healing and groove in "That's Fine By Me"

Elysia is a re-emerging artist whose journey through adversity has reshaped both her voice and artistic identity. In her newest single, "That's Fine By Me," teaming up with Brandi and the team, she drops a vibrant Afropop-tinged record that doesn't want to sit neatly inside of genre boundaries. But she sings on top of the rhythm, not in it, and the vocal presence is floating, even atmospheric, and feels intentional and fresh. The production occupies a hybrid space where Afropop percussion meets R&B warmth and subtle house textures, giving the track a sense of movement that is both global and intimate.

There’s an ease in Eylsia’s delivery that speaks not just of artistic confidence but also of personal resilience. Her return to music, after some serious troubles with her lungs and vocal cords, is not a limitation but an expansion. She doesn’t wallow in nostalgia or struggle but opts for forward movement, letting joy and rhythm drive the narrative. The result is a celebratory, not forced, sound, a reminder that music can be healing and playful at the same time. Her vocal phrasing, often intentionally positioned ahead of the beat, reinforces her wish to create an individual sonic identity.

"That’s Fine By Me" is a declaration of rebirth and creative independence. Eylsia is rewriting how she wants to exist in sound, in language, in genre. The track’s joyful mood is not superficial, but hard-won from experience and expressed in bold sonic experimentation. With more multilingual recordings hinted at ahead, this single feels like the opening chapter of a larger artistic evolution that is still unfolding but is already unmistakably authentic and forward-looking and deeply human in its spirit.
