Veteran lyricist Ken Capozzi brings decades of songwriting experience into “Chasing Shadows,” another addition to an extensive catalog that spans multiple genres. What stands out here is the importance Capozzi places on the songwriting itself. He writes his own lyrics and shapes the song structure, instrumentation, vocal approach, and arrangement before selecting the version that best fits his vision. That hands-on creative direction gives “Chasing Shadows” a clear sense of authorship. The track also reflects an artist still actively exploring and expanding his craft after years of writing. For listeners interested in lyric-focused music and independent songwriting, “Chasing Shadows” offers an honest window into Capozzi’s ongoing creative journey.
