SJ Mortimer transform self doubt into fire with latest release “Numb”

SJ Mortimer drop their new single "Numb" a fiery track that turns openness into female empowerment and hard earned self belief. The emotional premise lends the release immediate purpose. "Numb" explores the expectations placed on women in music and life, and the journey to the other side, where self doubt turns into reclaimed power. You can hear that journey in the song's emotional scale, from a stripped back ballad idea to a bigger Nashville co-write. Justyna Kelley's contribution adds heft without bluntness. What makes "Numb" so convincing is its refusal to ask any questions. The song is at its best when it moves forward, with the SJ Mortimer sound turning frustration into resolve.
