Award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriter Monika Ryan closes her 14-track album with “Save Me A Seat,” a warm, upbeat celebration of finding your way back to the people who matter. The song captures that familiar end-of-day feeling of leaving the noise behind and looking forward to good company, shared laughter, and a welcoming table. Its lively 3/4 jazz gallop, powered by bassist Neal Miner and drummer Joe Strasser, gives the track an infectious forward motion, while Ryan’s intimate vocal delivery keeps it personal. As a closing statement, it feels naturally satisfying, bright, affectionate, and full of life. “Save Me A Seat” leaves the album on a genuinely inviting note.
