Welyn look back on the hunger behind success with latest release “Went & Got It”

Welyn’s “Went & Got It” is about ambition, capturing the hunger that drove the artist before success became tangible. The song is about becoming obsessed with a goal, and chasing it to the very end, and not letting go until you have what you wanted. The song's power comes from the juxtaposition of past longing and present achievement. Welyn remembers how much the dream was needed, and then compares that to what has actually been done. “Went & Got It” is a confident meditation on persistence, ambition, and the joy of following through.
