Laurlyn explore memory and moving forward with latest release “History”

“History,” by Laurlyn, is a journey through alt-pop waters with an emotional premise about the past and its lingering effects. It’s a song about making peace with what’s already happened, realizing how the past still affects the present, and permitting yourself to move on without pretending those memories never happened. Laurlyn gives the subject room to breathe so that the alt-pop setting can convey intimacy as well as emotional tension. The song's reflective quality keeps “History” from becoming mere memories.
