Monkey Under The Mountain explores the weight of endless effort on “Sysiphus”

In Monkey Under The Mountain’s “Sysiphus,” the myth of Sisyphus is used to bring an ancient tale of struggle into an epic alternative metal setting. The myth provides a strong basis for exploring persistence, frustration, and the burden of repeating a task without a clear conclusion. The band describes the single as part of a forthcoming album that tells smaller stories. “Sisyphus” captures that ambition to tell stories, but through a heavy musical lens.
