Payton Schroede brings country-rock storytelling into new territory on “In Between”

Payton Schroede opens a new artistic chapter with “In Between,” a debut single that mixes country-rock storytelling with Red Dirt and Southern rock influences. It borrows from country music’s narrative tradition while making room for a harder, alternative edge. A punk-influenced element adds another layer to the track’s musical direction, suggesting an artist comfortable working between established styles rather than staying in one lane. “In Between” lays a foundation of genre-bending influences and the storytelling spirit that defines country-rock.
