The Generation hit the power-pop sweet spot with “When I Tell You”

The Generation return with “When I Tell You,” a driving guitar groove cloaked in melodic vocals and harmonies. The song is a blatant rip-off of iconic rock sounds, but it never sounds like something in a museum. The hooks hit, the harmonies lift the chorus, and the groove keeps it moving. It’s a confident, feel-good listen that knows precisely what it wants to be, and delivers it with enough shine to warrant repeat plays.
