We Are Portals channel alternative-rock tension through latest release “Sumac”

We Are Portals have a new alternative rock release, “Sumac,” that embraces atmosphere, intensity, and restless movement. It feels like the song pulls us into its world rather than describing itself too literally. “Sumac” is less about an unsettled, searching emotional state than about a performance that builds tension and release. The alternative-rock framework allows the band to balance weight and vulnerability, keeping the experience dynamic without overdoing it.
