THE SILVER SOLI captures the bittersweet pull of home on “Flying out of JFK”

THE SILVER SOLI “Flying out of JFK” captures the mixed feelings of leaving a cold New York for the warmth of Florida. The song was inspired by a visit in January 2026, when temperatures dropped to minus fifteen degrees amid snow, ice, and heavy traffic, and it balances the relief of leaving with the sadness of saying goodbye to loved ones. This contrast gives the song a core of relatable emotion for anyone living far from family. “Flying out of JFK” evokes the complex feeling of traveling away while keeping home in your heart.
