Fishbone Unleashes Fierce Anthem Against Trump with “Racist Piece of S--t”

As Election Day approaches, ska-punk icons Fishbone join the growing wave of artists speaking out against former President Donald Trump. With their biting new track, “Racist Piece of S--t” (or “RxPxOxS”), the band takes direct aim at Trump and his supporters, just days before the November 5 presidential vote.

“Proud to have this new song out… it was actually written back in 2017, but never got on tape until now. Sad part is that it’s only gotten worse,” Fishbone shared on Instagram. The track’s accompanying lyric video includes intense imagery of news headlines from the January 6 Capitol riots, underscoring the song’s potent lyrics. Lead vocalist Angelo Moore delivers a sharp message, decrying hate and division with lines like, “I see you coming down the street/ With tiki torches and hate speech/ You’re not a proud boy/ You’re just a F$@k Boy/ Drinking the kool-aid Of a mad orange king.”

Fishbone has long used their music to address issues of racism and oppression, and “Racist Piece of S--t” continues this legacy. Founding member Christopher Dowd explained that the timing of the release was no coincidence, aiming to spark reflection before election day. “Maybe hearing this song, if you are ‘undecided,’ will trigger your subconscious to think about who could win and what that would look like to the country and the world.”

Listen to Fishbone’s powerful statement on today’s America and catch “Racist Piece of S--t” for a bracing reminder of what’s at stake in this election.
