Matt Jones & The Bobs turn reflection into redemption on "Wicked Ways"

 

Matt Jones and The Bobs have a new song out called "Wicked Ways." The band takes us to a place that feels lived-in from the beginning of the song. Every note is heavy with experience and full of hope for change. There is a calm confidence that lets the story unfold slowly. The arrangement has a warm, analog feel because of the guitar variations, tight vocals, and wide-open drums. A full live band played the song at Creekside Studios. Tessa Joy sang backup vocals and played the drums, bass, slide electric, and keys. 

The song is really about family, forgiveness, and having the courage to change. Matt Jones says, It's our way of saying thank you for family, forgiveness, and the strength it takes to be better men. That message makes it clear that they aren't ashamed of their past and are happy with who they are now. It's about being a brother, having grace, and having the strength to keep going without forgetting where you came from.
