Alimba turns the rush of new love into a synth-driven daydream on “More Than A Fantasy,” a single inspired by the artist’s own early romance with his wife. Embracing the wonderfully cheesy side of falling head over heels, the song captures a woman’s disbelief at finding someone who makes happiness feel almost unreal. Its exclusive use of Arturia’s MiniFreak and DrumBrute hardware synthesizers gives the production a distinctive electronic foundation and adds character to its romantic premise. Alimba leans into its sweetness, celebrating that rare feeling when love seems too good to be true.
