“Search Party” by Ridgewell is a story about a gang of criminal outlaws with a distinct 90s pop-rock sound. The concept adds a fun edge of danger to the song, and the rock construction maintains the energy with a cinematic edge. “Search Party” is a rollicking musical chase, an outlaw tale with a sound seemingly born for motion. The result is catchy, colorful, and easy to imagine, like a lost 90s soundtrack cut given new lease of life and a mischievous grin.
